The sparrow hunt continues.

I am still in North Dakota looking for the ultimate picture of any and all sparrows. I have been remembering to record their songs too. I am really a sight when I get all geared up with the camera, recording gear with the shotgun mic, binos, water etc, etc. I will get a picture of my get up to post. A fashion statement I am not. But it sure is fun. We are in a small city park campground where it is $10 per night; pay on the honor system. I stick the money in a can with no sight slip or anything. We have great electric and water, with large grassy sights all for the $10. What a deal, but the last two nights were even better. The sights were about the same but in a smaller town and it was free. Wow! We had electric which we used all day because it is hot here. I wonder how and why they do it for free. I did not talk to anyone in town to get the scoop even though I walked the dogs around town. And I mean really around the outside of town. :) It was small but you could tell people took pride in their homes. I have traveled 3,600 miles so far. Plan to get my oil changed tomorrow after birding. Happy 4th everyone. Hannah has spent the last few days hiding in the bedroom scared of the fireworks. I will be glad when it quiets down and she can relax. Well I still have lots of pictures to process and some sounds to listen to. It is almost 10 pm hear and it is still light outside. It is hard to settle down when it is light but I get up at 5:30 to catch the birds so... Take care. Donelda
