I now have my truck fixed and enjoying a very green Arizona. I went to a wonderful place today that is set up just for photographers. It is near Elephant Head below Green Valley on about five acres. The owner, Bill Forbes, has a pond, portable blinds, all kinds of perches that can be moved around and lots of birds. I had the place to myself and had a ball. I hope to go back next week if he has an opening. He keeps it to one photographer or one group so you can set it up the way you want it. I highly recomend it if you want to shoot the birds of this area. We had a nice thunder storm just now. Lots of thunder and rain. It will keep everything green. I am meeting a group of birders at 4:00 am to go to California Gulch near the Mexican border for the Five-stripe Sparrow. It is way out a dirt road so I hope the water soaks in fast.
I took my recording gear to the local Radio Shack and found a wonderful young man who fixed my mic so I am back in business. I missed a lot of sounds in Texas but hope to pick up some here. He also taught me to fix it myself next time. What a deal.
Take care. Donelda
