First Day Adventure

It was very windy when I stopped at Red Rock State Park on highway 14. My canoe was blown off its mounts which I was able to get tied down before any damage was done. I did not notice until later the vent, sun roof cover blew off also. I was lucky to find a VERY nice feed store in Bishop which not only carried them but installed them for $10. Wow! What a deal. I bought an extra one. I would have had lots of dust and maybe a wet bed if it was not fixed. I did not find the Sage sparrow I was looking for. I did hear some small chattering in the bushes like they make but did not see them. Another time - maybe in the fall. I am sitting under a great shade tree in Bishop relaxing. I will head for Ely, Nevada at 5am. I am looking for a fox sparrow that Sylvia found in a meadow. There are lots of campground birds feeding young in the trees above me. Take Care
