Great Basin National Park

I left Bishop early and had highway #6 almost to myself. I went east through Tonopah and on to Ely befor getting here about noon. I was lucky enough to see two Pronghorn Antelope in the sage brush as well as an adult and a young badger. The badgers were crossing the road but I could not slow down to stop for a picture fast enough. A road sign all along said "Free Range" with a picture of a cow. Sure enough I came up on cows on and next to the road. It would not be a good idea to drive the road at night. You could not see the cows until it was too late. I looked for the fox sparrows this afternoon. Just fly bys but no pictures. I did get some recordings. I saw a young chipping sparrow chasing some adults in my campground. I am parked in a very private space next to a stream. Birds are singing everywhere. Great weather. Not hot like yesterday. I will look for the fox sparrow again tomorrow.
