Pawnee National Grasslands, Colorado

I took interstate 80 to interstate 25 south. I then went east on highway 14 to Pawnee Grasslands I got here this morning and have seen so many birds. Wow! I got the McCown's and Chestnut Longspur. That was my big wish. :) I saw burrowing owls, Lark Bunting etc. I got a small sparrow and will try to I'd it from the pictures. I can't tell I took 17 weeks of a sparrow class. It is like I never learned them. It is a great place though and very HOT. My phone does work though. I plan to go out this evening to see what I can find in the cool. Tomorrow morning should be good also. Donelda
